Catskill Native Nursery
Summersweet, Clethra alnifolia, produces fragrant flowers at the height of summer when few other shrubs are in bloom. The flowers are usually white - in the cultivar ‘Ruby Spice’ shown here they are a nice shade of pink. Either color provides a popular nectar source for butterflies and bees.
