The penstemons are a uniquely North
American group of plants that are most diverse throughout the
West. There are a number of suitable garden subjects that are
native to the Catskills, including Hairy Beardtongue, Penstemon hirsutus.

across in our browsing. They are not meant to be an exhaustive
list of all possible links. When we started this site a few
years ago, people were probably less skilled in browsing the
web and finding information than they are today. Nowadays,

the best search engines piled into one and our personal
favorite.) This, combined with the fact that there are never
enough hours in the day, has meant that we have not updated
